BEWARE: FISH FRAUD

I just read this disturbing article about an increase in fish fraud during the winter months.  Read carefully and consider yourself warned!

    1. Well... this seems to be a story about people in DC getting duped by faux salmon. I think we are a bit more savvy out here on the West Coast. At least I hope so. I've never heard of King Salmon ... that seems to be an American name. We call it Chinook up here. And... to be perfectly honest... I make sure my humans buy salmon in the fall when it's in season and stock up!

    2. We call it Chinook as well. Do you have Copper River Salmon?

    3. Well, we have a Copper River up north where Mama's from but that's probably not the Copper River you mean. Ours is known for Steelhead.

    4. As a fish expert, I am less concerned for my own personal consumption of fish, however my mom is not quite as good identifying the types of salmon. So I will have to taste test all the fish she eats from now on...
