Something smells

"Hey guys, what are you up to?" I asked.

"Oh not much," said Uncle Tibbs. "Parker and I are just working on a new dog trick and -- OH GOODNESS. WHAT IS THAT SMELL?"

Uncle Tibbs covered his nose.

"Ajdin, the smells seems to be coming from you. When was the last time you took a bath?" he asked.

"Hmm, I don't remember," I said. "But it can't be that bad, can it? Parker, you don't think I smell bad, do you?"

"WOOF!"

He ran away and hid behind Uncle Tibbs.

I took a whiff under my armpit and --

"PEE YEW!! Wow, I really do need a bath!"

"Alright, I'm headed straight for the tub," I announced. I grabbed some soap and a towel.

"But who will take care of my blog while I am away? It takes a couple days to air dry, y'know."

"Could I try?" asked Uncle Tibbs. "Perhaps I could be... a guest blogger!"

"That's a great idea!"

I'm sure my blog readers will be in good paws with Uncle Tibbs! See you later!

Scrabble completion

Several months ago, back in December last year, Sandy sent Ooogie some Scrabble letters and instructions for completing a puzzle. I think he might be close to finishing it! Let's check in with him for an update.

"Hi Ooogie, how's the puzzle going?" I asked.

"Aaaaalmooooost dooooone," he said.

"Yes, almost done indeed! You just have one more letter to go."

He picked up the last tile with the letter "N". And then he slowly moved it to its spot...

"Dooooneee aaaaatt laaaast," said Ooogie.

"Let's see, it spells out FRIENDS, TIBBS, OOOGIE, BEAR, and AJDIN! Great job, Ooogie!"

And there you have it, the completed Scrabble puzzle! Thanks Sandy, for sending us this fun puzzle!

It's a beautiful day in this neighBEARhood...

"Hee hee hee..."

"I rarely wear clothes but I'll do it this time..."

"Hmm... maybe I need a bigger cardigan..."

"Unghh..."

"Okay... I think I'm ready..."

♪ ♫  It's a beautiful day in this neighBEARhood, a beautiful day for a neighBEAR. Would you BEE mine? Could you bee mine? ♪ ♫
"Who is singing?" I asked.

♪ ♫  I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you. I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you. ♪ ♫

"Hello there, my name is Mr. Fish Rogers."

"Wow! Mr. Rogers!" I said excitedly. "My mom liked to watch your show when she was little."

"I'm so glad you can be my special guest on today's show," Mr. Rogers said. "Today we are going to talk about liking who you are. It's very important to like who you are. Do you like who you are?"

"Well, er... most of the time, I guess," I said. "But sometimes I wish I wasn't so small. I want to be a big bear... like you!"

"Well I like who you are, just the way you are," he said. "People (and stuffies) should learn that everybody is different. We are all unique, meaning that there is only one of us in this whole world. So we should learn to like ourselves."

"For instance, some of us speak different languages."

"WOOF!"

"That's beary true!" I said.

"Some of us are fast --"

"Hello Ajdin!" Miss Feathers swooped down onto Mr. Rogers' head.

"And some of us are slow."

"Sooooorrrrry I'mmmmm laaaaateeee."

"So I hope you learned a little something on today's show. I really enjoyed our time together and I'll hope you'll come back and visit again soon. Remember to like yourself just the way you are, because I like you just the way you are. Now won't you help me sing a song?"

Strawberries

Today I have a plate of 4 yummy, delicious ripe strawBEARries! Strawberries are the perfect snack. I can't wait to take a bite! (I am also wearing my new Australia tee shirt for the first time, courtesy of Chloe, Benaud, and Hicks).

"Hey Ajdin, whatcha got there?" It was Uncle Tibbs.

"I have 4 yummy strawberries. Would you like one?" I asked.

"Oooh yes please!" he replied. I gave him the biggest strawberry.

Now I have 3 strawberries left, still plenty for one little bear.

I was about to take my first bite when I heard a fluttering of wings.

"Ooooh! Strawberries! I love strawberries!" It was Miss Feathers.

"Hello Miss Feathers. Strawberries are beary delicious, aren't they?" I handed her a strawberry.

That left me with just 2 strawberries. Two nice, ripe, delicious, sweet, fresh strawberries just waiting for me to ----

"Straaaaaaaawbeeeeeeerrieeeeesss."

"Hi Ooogie." I didn't even have to look up. "I guess you'd like a strawberry also, huh?"

"Yeeeeeeesssss pleeeeeeeaaase."

"Here you go," I said, somewhat reluctantly, handing him a strawberry.

Wow. Everyone seems to like strawberries around here. Now I am down to just one strawberry. But that's ok, because I'm going to eat it very slowly and really savor the taste. I'll just pick it up and put it in my mouth like this ---

"Woof!"

"Parker, how nice to see you," I said. "I will play with you after I eat this strawberry, okay?"

He whimpered softly.

"Please don't do it," I said. "Please don't look at me with those puppy dog eyes..."

But it was too late. As some of you might know, the power of the puppy dog eyes is too strong to resist.

I handed Parker my last strawberry.

The strawberries were all gone. And I didn't even have one.

"Strawberries are overrated anyways," I said aloud, trying to feel better. But on the inside, I was really looking forward to a nice, juicy strawberry.

Then at that moment, my mom brought out a new plate stacked high with even more strawberries! Wow!

I immediately put my paws on one and took a big bite. It was so delicious! I am not sharing these!

Do you like strawberries?

Mail

Hey everyone, a couple weeks ago (secretary is delayed once again), I received a prize from Little Fox for entering his Stuffie Recipe Contest. It's a package of HONEY roasted peanuts! Yeah! Thank you, Little Fox!

Then I also got a postcard from Sandy. It's a postcard of the Vancouver Chinese Garden! I think my mom has been there before.

Sandy has been curiously quiet lately, so I can only imagine that he is out on a fantastic adventure...
