Christmas lights

This morning, I saw Uncle Tibbs in the living room.

"Hey Uncle Tibbs! What are you up to?" I asked.

"Hi Ajdin, I'm just getting these Christmas lights out so we can decorate around here."

"I wonder if these are still working from last year," he said. "Let's plug them in."

The lights lit up the room brightly.

"They look good to me!" I said, admiring the lights. "But they look a bit tangled."

"No problem," said Uncle Tibbs. "I'll just untangle them. Shouldn't be too hard. Now, which end is which..."

"...I think it goes like this... err... wait... no..."

"Uncle Tibbs, do you need help?"

"I think I got it, Ajdin... just a little bit more of untwisting... if I take that end and loop it under here like this... that should fix it... I think..."

"...like this!"

I raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, maybe I do need some help," he said. "Will you help get me untangled, Ajdin?"

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI tickets

I feel like...

... like I'm being watched!

Oh hey there! Ajdin Salmonfisher here. By now, you're probably heard that the new STAR WARS movie is out in theaters! I'm just getting my tickets online using Fishdango, and trying to stay away from spoilers on the internet.

Are you going to see the new Star Wars movie? Have you seen it yet?

MAY THE FISH BE WITH YOU!

iPhone X

Hey there! Have you heard the latest craze over the new iPhone X? I hear it's super cool and fast. A lot of these phones sold out quickly online, so I'm waiting on line to buy it at the local Apple store. I hear they have a new shipment coming in today!

Yeah, I know what you're thinking. The crowds are going to be crazy, just like shopping on Black Friday. But I don't think this time will be that bad.

I mean, just look at this calm crowd! We're all excited to see the new iPhone X, but no one is pushing or shoving or ---

I've been rather unlucky lately it seems.

Oh no. Here they come again.

What? Sold out? Just like that?

This consumerism is kind of crazy, isn't it? Holiday shopping has me stressed out and anxious.

I'm going home... and having a cup of tea with honey!

Mail

Today I checked the snail mail inbox and found some letters just lying there. I mean, they were just lying there unopened!

I had no idea my former secretary was so behind in these administrative matters.

The first was a happy birthday postcard from Little Fox. The postcard was from Monterey, CA and had a nice nature scene on it. Thanks Little Fox!

The next was a larger envelope decorated with lots of Halloween stickers. I wonder who it's from.

Oh, I see Jerry and Ben's signature at the bottom.

It's the prize from their Halloween Costume Contest! Inside was a postcard of Minnesota's hot dishes and a gift card to Starbucks. All of the dishes looked beary good! Thanks guys! I'll have to go to Starbucks soon for a nice cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Have a great week!

Black Friday

Oh, hey there! I'm standing here on line at a local Best Buy before they open for Black Friday.

The day after Thanksgiving (sometimes even right after Thanksgiving dinner), a lot of humans and stuffies hit the stores for good deals. The holiday shopping season has begun! This is how we get into the Christmas spirit, right?

I have heard lots of stories about chaotic Black Friday shopping scenes, but this seems to be a good group of polite, respectable stuffies. There is no pushing or shoving, but the line is long and goes around the corner of the block!

They are getting ready to open their doors!

Maybe I'll get a new big-screen TV, or an XBox, or --- HEY WATCH IT! OWWWW!

The thought of deep discounts instantly turned the calm crowd into a group of wild bandits.

MMMMPH... LET ME OUT...

I was trampled by a fierce group of credit card-wielding customers.

I sensed an opening and crawled my way out of the dog pile.

Phew!

This is madness! Is it really worth it? Is this what Christmas is all about?

Uncle Tibbs warned me about this - I'm going home!

Summer Road Trip, part 3

Alright, my secretary forgot to finish the conclusion of my Summer Road Trip posts from two months ago (thus leading to her firing), so I'll finish it here!

As we continued on our trip, the weather just seemed to get hotter and hotter! The thermometer says it is 114 degrees Fahrenheit outside! Too hot for a stuffie, that's for sure.

Here is a beautiful unnamed scenic viewpoint (my former secretary did not take adequate notes). It's a long way down, and no fences or railings - so we had to be beary careful looking out over the edge!

We continued our trip in our thankfully air-conditioned car! Hey, do you see those interesting looking things? They are huge! They look like dinosaurs or something...

... no, they're not dinosaurs - they're beary huge rock formations!

This place is called Monument Valley. Lots of Western films were shot here - think John Wayne films!

Wow, unbelievable! There was a dirt road going down into the valley but we didn't drive down there.

After we spent some time there, we continued in our car. The scenery has changed quite a bit now. I see lots of fancy hotels... where could we be?

Whoa, this is Las Vegas! We stayed at the Venetian hotel.

I was amazed by the opulence.

I could get used to this.

Nothing but the best for a stuffie, right?

One should deserve to live in the lap of luxury.

Five dollar bottles of water. What every stuffie deserves.

Alright, time for me to unwind. I'm going to order some nice room service and then head down to the casino later! Glad you could come with me on my road trip!
