Model Rocket Ship: Part 2

Hi everyone! We're back. The model rocket ship has been glued together is now dry. It's ready to paint.

I have the best assistant here to help me.

"Woof!"

Look at all these paint colors!

I'm going to get straight to work!

Some details on the wings will be a nice added touch...

The wheels will be black...

I will paint "USA" on the side so aliens will know what country it is from...

And a rocket ship wouldn't be complete without the NASA logo!

Wow, it's done! It looks great!

Thank you Parker, for your help!

The only thing that would be even better than this model rocket ship is if I am selected to become an astrobear! I hope I hear back from NASA soon...

Model Rocket Ship

"Weeellll, thaaaat waaaaas theeeee laaaaast quesssstion foooor yooooour astrooooobeeear inteeeeerview," said Ooogie.

"Phew!" I said. "That took a long time!"

"I wiiiiiill suuuubmiiiit youuuur paaaapeeeerwoooork riiiiight awaaaaay." He turned to leave.

Oh hello there! In case you're wondering what that was about, Ooogie finally finished my interview and application for becoming an astrobear. As you may know, one of my dreams is to go to outer space! So I am applying for the astrobear program. Now I just have to cross my paws and hope that I will be accepted!

In the meantime, I am going to build a model rocket ship. Chance favors the prepared mind, right?

I have a model rocket ship kit right here! Let's see what's inside.

There are lots of pieces, some glue, and instructions.

"Woof!"

Hello, Parker! Come help me build a rocket ship! Yeah, we'll just put the wings and the tail on like this...

Now we put the wheels and axles together...

It's looking good, almost done!

We just have to put on the rocket boosters and... here it is!

But it looks rather plain, doesn't it? Let's wait until it dries and then paint it.

Traffic Ticket

When I woke up this morning, I saw that it was a beautiful day outside. I decided to go for a drive in my car.

Hello car. I have yet to give my car a name - any ideas?

I got in my car and buckled up.

I drove here.

And I drove there. I remembered the time that Sandy visited me and drove my car.

Suddenly, I heard some sirens and saw flashing lights. I looked in the sideview mirror.

I was being pulled over!

"Hello there, officer," I said.

"Hello citizen," he replied. "May I please see your driver's license and registration?"

I handed him my documents.

"Hmm... okay... I see," he said. "Do you know how fast you were going in this speed zone?"

"Uh, 5 miles per hour, I think," I answered.

"Yes, that's right. You were going 5 miles per hour," he said.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"Well, it looks like I will have to write you a ticket," the police officer said.

"But I wasn't speeding. I even graduated from Slow Poke Driving School," I insisted.

"I'm not giving you a speeding ticket," he said. "I'm giving you a slowing ticket... for going too slowly!"

Slowing tickets? Has anyone heard of these before?

Guest Post: Uncle Tibbs

Is this thing on?

Okay, good.

Hello everyone, this is Uncle Tibbs writing a guest post for Ajdin, who is still air drying after his much-needed bath. He left me with his computer, so I just have to turn it on and then we can get started.

But where is the on button? I can't seem to find it. This is a pretty new computer.

"Hello Uncle Tibbs! Do you need any help with guest blogging today?"

Er, it is a little embarrassing, but I can't find the on button on Ajdin's computer.

"Here it is, at the top right corner!"

Oh wonderful, thank you!

"Are you excited to be guest blogging this week? What did you have in mind?"

I thought I would share some pictures I took from a previous trip. They're all right here on this floppy disk.

"Errr..."

So now I just have to find the disk slot and put it in the computer.

"Uncle Tibbs, everything is on the cloud now!"

The cloud?

"Yes, cloud computing that allows for on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources such as networks, servers, storage, applications, and services and..."

Can you show me?

"Yes of course!"

Hmm, I guess I am behind the times a little bit.

"That's okay, Uncle Tibbs!"

Alright, now Ajdin gave me his password to his blog so I will just log in now.

*type type type*

Hmm, but it doesn't seem to be working. Do you know what could be wrong?

"The caps lock key is on!"

Ah, you have good eyes, Miss Feathers!

"And now we are finally logged in and ready to create a new post. So Uncle Tibbs, what will you write about?"

Yes, umm... well... you know... after all of that, I forgot!
