Mail and presents

I got some awesome mail and presents the other day. Yes, more mail! 😀

I got an envelope from Sandy. It feels very thick so there must be several things in there.

Inside is a card and postcard with a sea theme. Hmm, I wonder if there is any salmon in that ocean. And there was also a cool handmade postcard made by Beanie Mouse. This postcard is number 697 and I will log it on Beanie's art blog. Thanks Sandy and Beanie!

I also received some gifts from Droopy! As some of you might know, I have been practicing for my motivational speaking career by posting some PAW-sitive quotes on my Facebook page. Droopy said this book is to help me with my new career as a motivational speaker!

This quote book is called "Insbearations" and it was written by someone who had a stuffed teddy bear. He brought it to work everyday and eventually his clients expected to see his bear at sales meetings. His company merged and the new management said the bear was no longer allowed to attend work meetings. When his clients found out about this, they said that he must bring the bear otherwise they would no longer do business with the company - problem solved!

There is also a cookie cutter in the shape of a bear's head. Hopefully cookie making is in the near future!

The book has nice pictures and inspiring quotes.

Thanks for the fun mail and gifts, everyone!

New outfit!

IT'S FINALLY HERE!

I ordered some things from Build-a-Bear a couple weeks ago and it is FINALLY here! I guess stuffie orders aren't immune to COVID shipping delays, but I'm glad it's finally here!

Look - I got a new plaid shirt and a denim jean jacket.

I'm going to try them on. I'll be right back!

Ta-da! What do you think?

The red plaid shirt has small buttons on the front. And the denim jean jacket is really detailed with two little pockets on the front - a great fit!

But that's not all...

I also got a cowboy - or should say cowbear - hat! Howdy partner!

Stay tuned for some spaghetti Western adventures!

Olympic torch

Hey everyone, last week I annonced the Stuffie 2020 Summer Olympics! But I forgot something very important about it.

We forgot to light the Olympic torch! I wonder where the torch is now?

Anyways, while we wait for it to arrive, I just wanted to remind you that the deadline for entries is July 27, 2020 at 11:59 pm EST. You can enter up to 3 different events or make up your own category. More details can be found here!

"Sorryyyyy I'm laaaaate," said Ooogie.

"Ah-ha! I'm so glad you made it!" I said.

He carefully touched the torch to the cauldron.

WHOOSH!!!

The enduring flame has been lit!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Have you seen this awesome video of fellow teddy bears riding a roller coaster in Walibi Holland, a theme park in the Netherlands? It's a must watch!

Mail call!

I received some fun mail the other day! Getting mail is always fun.

"Because you don't have to pay bills," said Uncle Tibbs.

Well, I guess that's true.

The first piece of mail was from Jerry and Ben. How do I know? From their signature drawing of two little bears!

The stamp is pretty cool also - a Transcontinental Railroad forever stamp.

They sent me a postcard. This painting is called "La partie de musique" by Jacob I Van Oost, a Flemish painter who lived in the 17th century. Thanks guys!

Next is an envelope from Sandy. Take a look at all these colorful stamps! I think I need to upgrade my postage stamp game.

First up is a postcard from Sundern, Sauerland which is a town in Germany. Hopefully I can visit Germany one day soon, maybe when it is safer to travel?

There's also a handmade cardboard postcard with some stenciled designs on it. It's made by Beanie Mouse and is part of his Found Art project. I will report that I found it on his blog shortly.

There is also another postcard made by Beanie. It's called "NYC Tickets" and it's a painting done in watercolor. Wow! It looks so realistic and detailed. It must have taken a very long time to do.

Thank you everyone for the fun mail!
