SNOW

This morning I looked out the window and saw snow.  Lots of snow.  SNOW in capital letters.

"YEAH!!  WOOHOO!!" I cheered.  I fist pumped into the air.

"I'm going outside to play in some of this snow," I said to Uncle Tibbs.

"Not without your coat you're not," he said.

So I put my coat on.

"Okay, now I'm ready."

"Don't forget your hat, Ajdin."

So I put my hat on.

"Okay, now I'm ready," I said.

"Ajdin, how about pants?  Why don't you put some pants on?" giggled Uncle Tibbs.

I thought for a moment.  Even in below freezing temperatures and a biting wind chill, I would never succumb to defeat.  I would never surrender.  I would never put on a pair of pants.

"No thanks!" I said, running out the door before he could put another piece of clothing on me.

Outside, it looked like some people had been hard at work cleaning up the streets and sidewalks.

It's a lot of snow!

Then, in the distance, I noticed something so majestic and beautiful that took my breath away.  It was Mount Everest.

The beauty of the mountain inspired me and I felt my soul swell with a sudden urge to channel the great Sir Edmund Honey.

I was determined to climb it.

There were dangerous crevasses to my left.

As I neared the summit, I felt my grip begin to slip, my muscles grow weary.  Then I remembered the words of Sir Edmund Honey:

"Stuffies do not decide to become extraordinary. They decide to accomplish extraordinary things."

With everything I had, I pulled myself to the top!

I made it to the summit of Mount Everest!

All that mountain climbing was making me hungry so I decided to turn around and go home.  But then I saw a familiar figure sitting on a snowbank. It was brown.  It was big.  It was...

"Uncle Tibbs, is that you?" I called.  "What are you doing outside?"

"Hey, even big bears like to play in the snow!" he said, forming a snowball with his paws.  "Would you like to have a snow --"

SPLAT!!!

He lost his balance and toppled headfirst into the snow.

"Uncle Tibbs, are you alright?" I said, running over to help him.

"Yes, I am fine!" he laughed, shaking snow off of his fur.

"Uncle Tibbs, I could use a big mug of hot chocolate right now!" I said.

"Sounds good to me!"

We hope everyone stays nice and warm this winter!

First Snow!

When I woke up this morning, it was beary cold.  I went to the window and saw that it had snowed overnight.

"Look at all that snow!" I cheered happily.

"Look.  At.  All.  That.  Snow," Uncle Tibbs groaned.

I did a little dance, put on my hat, then went outside.

Uncle Tibbs put on his hat, grabbed a shovel, then also went outside.

After Uncle Tibbs finished shoveling the driveway, I asked if he would have a snowball fight with Spunky and I.

"Are you sure you want to have a snowball fight with me?" he asked.

"Yes!" we said.

Spunky and I prepared our snowballs.

Then we gave Uncle Tibbs our best shot.  He brushed the snow away then grinned.

"Okay, get ready guys," Uncle Tibbs said.  He scraped together snow with his huge paws.

When we realized how big Uncle Tibb's snowball was going to be, Spunky and I turned to run away.

"RUN!!" we said.

But it was too late.

WHOMP!!  Uncle Tibb's snowball knocked us over into the snow.  It was getting beary cold now and my fur was getting wet, so after the snowball fight, we went inside to dry off and sipped on some hot chocolate!

A day indoors

It's been a long winter and I'm now ready to go outside to enjoy some nice weather. My mom said she would take me to the park today.

I'm ready to get some beautiful warm sunshine -- WHAT?!

More snow? I cannot believe this. I am going to throw a temper tantrum.

"Hey Ajdin, what's all the fuss about?" Uncle Tibbs said as he was walking by.

"I wanted to go outside and play in warm weather but it has snowed again. My day is ruined."

"I wish we had warm weather too, Ajdin, but there's nothing we can do to change that," Uncle Tibbs said. "Come on, we can still have fun indoors today. How about some books Ajdin? Have you read these beary wonderful classics? How about A Tale of Two Honeypots?"

"Or Salmon and Sensibility? Great Beehives?  Wuthering Honeypots?" Uncle Tibbs dug into his book collection.

"Hmm... they do sound beary delicious," I said.

"You can always use your imagination if you're bored, Ajdin. Try to create something with your mind." He handed me a book.

"Oh this is beary interesting!" I said.

"I'll put a pot of honey tea on the stove," Uncle Tibbs grinned. "We can read and sip tea all day today."

Ice fishing

Today I went ice fishing in search of some fresh, tasty fish.  My mouth was just watering at the thought of some nice fresh fish, so I went outside and found a nice icy patch, broke some ice, and waited with my fishing pole.

Then I waited some more... my tummy was grumbling now.

And still I waited.  But no luck.  I didn't catch a single thing and came up empty-pawed.  However, the humans I know seem to be quite clever and they cooked some salmon for dinner.  It was beary delicious!

* First snow! *

I woke up this morning to a nice surprise - freshly fallen snow outside!  Yep, today is the first snow of the winter season.

I decided to go outside and see this snow for myself.  But first, I put on my hat that my aunt made for me.

Then I put on a scarf.  Oh.. I can't see anything...

There, that's better.  Now, despite the fact that I am not wearing any pants, I am now ready to go outside.

It was rather slushy by the time I ventured outside so I could not make a snowbear with this snow, but maybe next time!  Bundle up if you go outside!
