Mmm, I remember the food being beary delicious... and cheap!
Fresh Bosnian bread... crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - yum! I really miss this.
This is called ćevapi or ćevapčići and it is a meat sausage in pita bread with onions and butter.
There are lots of interesting things you can buy from the merchants, such as jewelry and other knick knacks. Sarajevo is also known for its handmade copper tins.
My mom bought a lot of jewelry from the merchants. She told me she tried to haggle with them, but didn't get a very good deal since she doesn't know much Bosnian. I bet I could have gotten her a good deal if I was there!
Hmm... I wonder if these are magic flying carpets?
The small street alleyways are lit up by these pretty lanterns...
Some views of the city from the mountains...
And if you are wondering, yes, bears are very welcome in Bosnia as you can see from this picture.
I hope to visit Bosnia again soon! :)
The food looks bearilicious!!! The streets look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat trip. Bosnia looks beary pretty, I hope you visit soon. The bread looks beary good and so does the ćevapi. I wonder is Chef Ben has a recipe for that?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Ajdin and a beautiful country too by the looks of it! You sound a little homesick... some hot chocolate could help with that!
