Our Christmas tree

I was almost home with our Christmas tree.  I honked the horn.  *BEEP BEEP!!*

"Ajdin's back!"

"Yayyyyyyyyyy..."

"He got a tree!"

"Woof!  Woof!  Woof!"

I took the tree out of the car.

"Isn't it the most beautiful tree you have ever seen?" I asked.

"Errr..."

"Hmmmmmmm..."

"Woof?"

"Well, it just needs a little TLC, that's all," said Uncle Tibbs.

So we fluffed out its branches.

"There, it looks more tree-like already," said Miss Feathers.

"Woof!"

"Parker, you found some decorations!" I exclaimed.  "Good dog!"

So we decorated our little tree.

"Niiiiiice," said Ooogie.  It was looking pretty good.

"It looks terrific," said Uncle Tibbs, "but it feels like something is missing."

"We need to put the star at the top of tree," I said.  "But I can't reach it."

"I'll put it up there," said Miss Feathers.

She flew above the tree and put the star at the tippy top.

Then we all stepped back to admire our work.

"Oooooo..."

"Aaah!"

"We love our Christmas tree!"

Christmas is about more than a tree or gifts, but it is nice to have some decorations up, isn't it?

How are you decorating for the holidays?

Searching for a tree

With my friends in need of some holiday spirit, I got in my car and drove around town looking for a Christmas tree.  Down the street, there was a vendor selling some trees.  I went to take a look.

I soon realized that they were all beary big trees.  They were bigger than me, bigger than my car, bigger than Uncle Tibbs, and even bigger than my mom.  They were also bigger than my pocketbook and what I could afford to buy.

Then I discovered a row of smaller Christmas trees, but these were still bigger than I was.  How would I ever get a Christmas tree of this size to fit in my car?

Disappointed, I was about to head home empty-pawed when I saw something in the corner of my eye.  I turned my head to take a better look.

There, cast off to the side by itself, was the most beautiful tree I had ever seen.

And it was also free.  What luck!

Excitedly, I put it on the hood of my car, but that made it difficult to see anything.

Then I put it on the back of my car but it fell off and rolled to the ground.

Finally, I just tucked it in the passenger seat next to me.  Then I drove home.

I hope my friends like this tree!

Oh Christmas tree?

"Hmm... today is already December 13th," said Miss Feathers, crossing off the date on the calendar.  "But for some reason, it just doesn't feel like Christmas around here."

"I aaaaagreeeee," said Ooogie.

"You're right," sighed Uncle Tibbs.  "We don't have any decorations to liven this place up."

"Woof," said Parker softly.

"I know!" I said.  "I'll get a Christmas tree for all of us!"

"Reallyyyyyyyy?"

"Wow!"

"That's a great idea!"

"Woof!"

I was determined not to let my friends down.  I was determined to bring some holiday cheer to everyone!  I knew it was up to me to get a Christmas tree!

Because I was the only one with a car.
