I'M BACK!!

HELLO EVERYONE! It's me, Ajdin, and I am beary excited to write my first blog post in several months!

A lot of things have happened since last time. I moved to a new bearcave and have been helping my mom with a lot stuff. My car - as well as some of my stuffie friends - are still in storage, but don't worry, we will rescue them soon. Anyways, I will catch up on that later (including the delayed results for the Stuffie Olympics) but for now, I will be making a reindeer holiday ornament to put on the Christmas tree.

First, let's spread out all of our materials in this craft pack. We have different beads, strong monofilament thread, and a pipe cleaner.

This is going to be fun.

I am following the instructions and this is what I have so far. I think this is the bottom of the reindeer's nose.

Or... is it actually my nose? Hey, this kinda looks like me. Let's keep going...

We'll make some loops with brown beads for the ears, add red beads for the hat, and some clear beads for antlers. And here it is!

Now let's hang it on the Christmas tree.

It looks great on the tree. I hope you have a beary Merry Christmas! What are you doing for Christmas this year?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

A few days ago, I received some nice holiday cards!

A beary Christmas card from my friend Sprinkles! What a cute card! Maybe I need a Santa outfit next year.

A card from Little Fox - it has two bears getting their Christmas tree set up. Too bad I could not find our tree in time for Christmas this year!

And finally a card from my friends Jessica and Wesley - thank you beary much!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Have a Happy New Year and see you in 2020!

Searching for a tree

With my friends in need of some holiday spirit, I got in my car and drove around town looking for a Christmas tree.  Down the street, there was a vendor selling some trees.  I went to take a look.

I soon realized that they were all beary big trees.  They were bigger than me, bigger than my car, bigger than Uncle Tibbs, and even bigger than my mom.  They were also bigger than my pocketbook and what I could afford to buy.

Then I discovered a row of smaller Christmas trees, but these were still bigger than I was.  How would I ever get a Christmas tree of this size to fit in my car?

Disappointed, I was about to head home empty-pawed when I saw something in the corner of my eye.  I turned my head to take a better look.

There, cast off to the side by itself, was the most beautiful tree I had ever seen.

And it was also free.  What luck!

Excitedly, I put it on the hood of my car, but that made it difficult to see anything.

Then I put it on the back of my car but it fell off and rolled to the ground.

Finally, I just tucked it in the passenger seat next to me.  Then I drove home.

I hope my friends like this tree!

Have a Beary Merry Christmas!

This evening, I saw Santa Bear sitting on the couch in the living room.  I have to say, for such a busy guy, his timing is always impeccable, just like last year.  I went up to him and climbed onto his lap.

"HO HO HO!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!" he bellowed.  "And what would you like for Christmas this year, little bear?"

I took a deep breath.  This was my chance to wish for anything in the whole world.  Would it be 100 jars of honey?  Or maybe 100 pounds of salmon?  Whatever I wished for, it had to be a good one.

"I wish that everyone, bears and non-bears alike, have a peaceful and happy holiday," I said.  "And I wish that everyone remembers to be beary thankful because... life is beary good!"

"Ah, that's a nice wish," Santa Bear said.  "Well, I do have a little gift for you.  My elf here will bring it over."

"Ooogie?  I didn't know you worked for Santa Bear," I said.

"Seasooooooooonal joooooooob," he answered.

"Thank you, Santa Bear," I said.  Then I hopped down from his lap.

I was beary excited about the gift that Santa Bear gave to me and went to show Uncle Tibbs.  I looked around the house for a little while, then spotted him in the hallway.

"Uncle Tibbs, you will not believe what just happened.  Santa Bear was in the living room just now and he gave me this nice gift," I said.

"Really Ajdin?" Uncle Tibbs said.  "Wow, that's great!  You are such a lucky bear.  I seem to miss him whenever he comes around."

"Uncle Tibbs," I said, "how about we give our friends one final message from 2014..."

"MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  SEE YOU IN 2015 WITH MORE ADVENTURES!"

Oh fudge!

Today was just a lazy Sunday afternoon... until my mom brought home a fudge kit!  I've never made fudge before, but I'm determined to help out the best that I can (and perhaps get my paws on some gooey leftovers).  This box has everything we need.

Let's see what's inside.  Sugar, evaporated milk, marshmallows, and chocolate.  Oh, this should be easy.  No measuring required.

I poured the sugar into a saucepan and added the evaporated milk and some butter.

My mom did not let me get too close to the burner because I am highly flammable so I had to take the picture from here.  Trust me, it's boiling all nicely together and smells soooo beary good.

While my mom was stirring the pot, I helped out by getting the marshmallows and chocolate ready.  I ate some when she wasn't looking!  Shhh...don't tell.  :)

Then we added the chocolate and marshmallows and stirred it together until everything melted into a nice gooey concoction...

Then we poured it into a foil-lined pan and added some walnuts on top.

I think you need to see a closer picture, don't you?  Like this... *om nom nom nom*  This fudge will have to go in the refrigerator for two hours.

Actually, most of this fudge is going to be given away as a gift, so then I helped make the gift boxes to put them in.

Phew!  That was a lot of work, but I got a piece of fudge as a treat and got to lick the bowl.  Mmm, the holidays are such a delicious time of year.  I'm glad everyone is celebrating with their fun decorations and treats!
